BAMIDELE DAPO ABIOBUN IS A TRUE DEFINITION OF VIRTUE

“Bamidele, who has always attended major programmes of VLBC and was usually received by RFA, would not fail each time in her remarks to acknowledge the infectious fire of revival the late reverend represented in the body of Christ…”

One of the top public officers who will miss Reverend Folake Achudume is Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Dapo Abiodun. The Ogun State First Lady has been so inspired by RFA’s ministry, especially the numerous life-touching projects she initiated that have contributed immensely to improving lives in the State.

Bamidele, who has always attended major programmes of VLBC and was usually received by RFA, would not fail each time in her remarks to acknowledge the infectious fire of revival the late reverend represented in the body of Christ, particularly RFA’s commitment to kingdom service, the betterment of humanity, and passion for the transformation of people through her firebrand messages.

Bamidele’s strong Christian faith has endeared many in high places, influencing them with the principles of the kingdom. Many times, the first lady prefers to worship free of paraphernalia of office. Like RFA, who didn’t only practice her faith within the walls of the church but reach out extensively to a broad spectrum, including the derelict neighbourhood trapped in poverty, commercial sex work, addiction and hopelessness, Mrs. Bamidele has been involved extensive humanitarian work; helping the less-privileged in many fronts.

Humble, affable with unassuming gait, Bamidele is a portrait of a virtuous woman in power. She has helped shape the lives of thousands of women, youths, and the girl child in Ogun State through her humanitarian services.

Her dedication to eradicating hepatitis won her the admiration of global bodies and was recognized by the United Nations agency as a Global Hepatitis Zero Ambassador by the World Hepatitis Eradication Commission. This honor further solidified her commitment to health advocacy, an area where she has made profound strides in Ogun State.

Beyond her advocacy for health, Mrs. Bamidele Dapo Abiodun has been a tireless champion for women, children, and youth empowerment. Through her humanitarian programs, she has launched several initiatives aimed at uplifting the vulnerable in Ogun State. Her “Future Leaders Initiative” is one such program, designed to mentor young girls and boys, helping them build confidence and skills to become future leaders of the state and the nation.

Additionally, the Bamidele Abiodun Foundation has been pivotal in addressing the needs of rural communities, providing educational materials, offering scholarships to deserving students, and organizing healthcare outreach programs that cater to the underserved populations. Her emphasis on women’s empowerment is evident through the establishment of skill acquisition centres that equip women with marketable skills, thereby fostering economic independence and improving the overall wellbeing of families.

Her strong focus on poverty alleviation and sustainable development has earned her respect not only within Ogun State but also across Nigeria. As the First Lady of Ogun State, she has also played a key role in spearheading government partnerships with local and international organizations, ensuring that critical resources are mobilized to address issues such as malnutrition, maternal health, and access to education for marginalized groups.

Bamidele’s humanitarian efforts extend to the agricultural sector, where she has initiated programs aimed at empowering rural women through sustainable farming practices. By providing training, resources, and micro-financing options, she has helped many to achieve economic independence and food security.
Her influence transcends mere philanthropy; it reflects her profound belief in the potential of every individual to contribute positively to society. Mrs. Bamidele Dapo Abiodun stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many, continually embodying the virtue of selfless service and commitment to fostering a brighter future for all in Ogun State.

Her legacy of compassion and resilience will undoubtedly inspire future generations to pursue positive change in their communities. Through these programs, Mrs. Bamidele Dapo Abiodun continues to illuminate the lives of many in Ogun State living up to the legacy of selfless service that Reverend Folake Achudume left behind.
